AUGUSTA – The Capital City Veterans Day 5K Road Race and Fun Run are scheduled for Monday, Nov. 12 at the new Cony High School at 60 Pierce Drive. Entry fee for the 5-K is $15 and $5 for the Fun Run. All checks should be made out to Cony High School.
Registration will take place from 8 to 9:15 a.m.. The Fun Run starts at 9:30 and the 5-K at 10:00.

Thanksgiving race set
PORTLAND – The 26th running of the Portland Thanksgiving Day 4-Miler is set for Thursday, Nov. 22 at 9 a.m. The course winds through Portland’s Old Port and Downtown Districts. In addition there will be a 1-K race for youngsters (12-under) starting at 8:30. To register go www.active.com, or gtowle@usm.maine.edu.
