AUBURN – Comedy wil return to The Fireside Inn & Suites, formerly the Auburn Inn, Saturday, Oct. 20, with a show featuring two popular New England’ comedians: Bob Seibel and Amy Tee.
The son of German immigrants, Seibel of Lynn, Mass., tried factory work and school teaching before he discovered he could get paid for making people laugh. His high-energy act takes the audience on a fast-paced, off-beat tour of modern life
A quarter-century later, he is still one of the most requested acts in New England, headlining such top clubs as Nick’s Comedy Stop in Boston and Giggles in Saugus, Mass. He is also a regular at the “Ding Ho Reunion” shows at Jimmy Tingle’s Off-Broadway Theater, and plays in Atlantic City and Las Vegas and on cruise ships.
Identified as a “rising star” by the Boston Globe, Tee has performed this year at the New York Underground Comedy Festival and the Boston Comedy Festival, and during Women’s Week in Provincetown and Oqunquit. Tapes of her performances are played regularly on XM Satellite Radio. She is a regular performer at clubs around New England, including the Boston Comedy Connection and Nick’s Comedy Stop, also in Boston. She has also worked in Los Angeles and in New York.
The duo will be joined by Kyle Crawford, who also plays regularly at the Boston Comedy Connection, Comedy Studio and Dick Doherty comedy clubs around New England. Tickets for the show are $12 with a reservation, $14 without. Showtime is 8 p.m. For tickets, call The Fireside Inn & Suites at 777-1777.
