CASCO – Police are seeking a teenager who attempted to rob Bob’s Place, a convenience store at Route 302 and State Park Road, between 8:45 and 9 p.m. Monday.

The man entered the store, looked around and left, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said. Minutes later, after customers were gone, he entered again and approached the owner with a handwritten note that suggested he had a gun and wanted money. When the owner refused, he left and drove away in a vehicle parked nearby.

The man is described as being about 18 years old, white with a light complexion and a mole on his cheek.

He stands between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet tall, and weighs approximately 145 pounds, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He was wearing dark sunglasses, a zipped-up hooded sweatshirt pulled over his head, possibly tan color, baggy blue jeans and white or light gray sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office tip line at (207) 774-1444, ext. 2208
