Fiddle-icious is a fiddle orchestra made up of fiddlers and other musicians playing piano, guitar, banjo, flute, tin whistle, accordion, cello, viola, mandolin, harp, upright bass and other instruments.

Fiddle-icious will play a variety of reels, jigs, marches and waltzes at several concerts this month. The group’s 2007 fall concert series will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Brunswick High School’s Crooker Theater. This will be followed by performances at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in Paris; at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Gorham High School’s McCormack Performing Arts Center; and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at the Franco-American Heritage Center in Lewistson.

The group’s music features tunes passed on from Scottish, Irish, Quebecois, Acadian and other ancestors.

Don Roy of Gorham, a renowned fiddler, is director of Fiddle-icious.

Concert tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors/students. They are $7/$5 for the Oxford Hills show only.
