GREENE – A surprise party was held recently for Conrad and Judith Chateauvert of Greene, on the occasion of their 45th wedding anniversary. The party was planned by their children and their sisters and was held at their home.

The cake was made and decorated by Julia Shnur and Ann Abbott. An enlarged picture of the couple was displayed and a collage of photographs put together by a granddaughter, Meghan Rolf, was also displayed.

Mr. Chateauvert and the former Judith Wood were married Aug. 25, 1962, by Pastor W. Rickers in Wales.

Their children are Laurie Ryan, Glenn Chateauvert and Stacey Murdock. Their grandchildren are Meghan Rolf, Hayley Rolf, Tabatha Murdock, Nolan Murdock, Hannah Murdock and Owen Chateauvert.

Mrs. Chateauvert operated a day care for 35 years. Mr. Chateauvert was a construction worker until retirement due to ill health.

Original wedding attendants present were Bruce Wood, best man, and Julia Shnur, maid of honor.
