LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Oct. 8 with 32 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and the men and women in the Armed Forces.
The sick list included Dora Slovak and Mary Groleau, who is recovering well from cataract surgery. Members welcomed back Blanche Bilodeau, Betty Green and Jean Oakes. Jeannine and Jim Williams are on a seven-day trip to Lourdes, France.
Roger Brown will be present Monday, Oct. 14, to speak about Humana insurance.
Life Line Screening will be at St. Rose Church on Tuesday, Nov. 13. For preregistration, call 1-800-324-1851.
SeniorsPlus has the following events scheduled: Tuesday, Oct. 23, shopping trip to North Conway, N.H.; Wednesday, Oct. 31, special Halloween meal; Friday, Nov. 9, Veteran’s Day brunch; Dec. 13, holiday party at Indian Head Resort.
When the meeting concluded, a Chinese auction was held.
The 50-50 was won by Cindy Hebert. The meeting was adjourned and cards and games were played.
