The walk is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Participants will make their way on a 2.5-mile walk through downtown and surrounding neighborhoods led by the Old Crow Indian Band. The task force served more than 2,500 children and families in Franklin County through its many programs.
The programs include “Growing Healthy Families,” parent education and school-based violence prevention programs.
Any business, group or individual interested in having a team is encouraged to contact the Franklin County Children’s Task Force at 778-6960 for a fundraising packet.
