LEWISTON – Neysan Bayat, M.D., a plastic surgeon, has been appointed to the Central Maine Medical Center medical staff.
Prior to joining the Lewiston-Auburn medical community, Bayat practiced in Scottsbluff, Neb. His practice experience also includes work in Brookfield, Wis.
Bayat holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in engineering from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Ky. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y. He completed a general surgery residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and a plastic surgery residency at Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio.
His surgical interests include post weight-loss surgery, breast and face lifts, tummy tucks, nose surgery, liposuction, upper and lower eyelid surgery, breast reconstruction, breast augmentation and breast reduction, facial fractures, hand injuries, burns, skin cancer, and lower body and neck lifts. He has performed some 3,000 plastic surgery procedures.
He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Bayat is practicing in association with plastic surgeon Steven C. Bonawitz, M.D., at Central Maine Plastic Surgery, a CMMC-affiliated surgical practice located at 287 Main Street Plaza, Suite 302, in Lewiston.
