AUBURN – Fire officials will open the Minot Avenue firehouse to people Saturday morning for a few hours of fire prevention and safety practice.

The Central Fire Station open house is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at 550 Minot Ave. Visitors will be able to talk with firefighters, learn a safety and fire prevention tips, have their blood pressure checked and other activities. Firefighters will demonstrate fire equipment and will have a training trailer on hand. That’s designed to show how to escape from a smoke-filled room. There will be a moon bounce for children as well.
