TURNER – SAD 52 River Valley Adult and Community Education will offer the following classes:

A dog obedience class will be held Wednesdays, Oct. 24 through Nov. 28. This course will teach owners how to have a courteous dog.

Correction of behavioral problems will be offered. Children under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian.

Leashes and collars need to be approved by the trainer or they can be purchased from the instructor for $5. Rabies shots must be current.

There will be a nature walk at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, on Monument Hill. It is not long or difficult.

Hikers will be able to view Leeds from the top and read the monument to area veterans. Bring a snack and water. Half of the proceeds will benefit the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society.

On Monday, Oct. 29, an Algebra II class will run through Nov. 19. The class will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Mondays and Wednesdays.

It is structured for students working toward a high school diploma or GED diploma. Students will be scheduled for class according to their particular math requirements.
