Lions name Fellow

PARIS – Terry Twitchell of Norway has been named a Melvin Jones Fellow by Lions Clubs International Foundation in recognition of his commitment to serving the world community. Named for the founder of Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones, the fellowship is the foundation’s highest honor. It is a recognition of commitment to humanitarian service.

Twitchell has been a member of the Norway/Paris Lions Club for 40 years. He recently was presented with a plaque and lapel pin by District Governor Ann McFarland, acknowledging his dedication to the foundation’s humanitarian goals.

The Norway/Paris Lions Club now has three members who have received the Melvin Jones Fellow Award, which is the highest award a Lion Member can behold: Earle Thompson, Terry Twitchell and Joseph Hatch.

Twitchell was presented with the award at the bimonthly meeting in South Paris on Oct. 1. As a Melvin Jones Fellow, he becomes a part of the growing network of individuals who are committed to improving the quality of life for people locally and in communities around the world.
