LEWISTON – Two women’s champions have been crowned in the Lewiston Rec Fall Tennis League. Jill Begin captured the title in the B Singles Division, defeating Julie Dionne in a 3-set thriller.

Maria Higgins took the C crown, knocking off Denise Wilding in straight sets.

Monday, the Men’s A Division title was on the line, Ron Chicoine and Tim Lacombe were to resume their match. Each had won a set and were tied 2-all in the third.

Also on the line Monday was the Men’s B-1 crown. Tom LeBlond was meeting Reynold Villedrouin, with the winner taking on Mike Lacombe for the championship.

The Mixed Doubles will be completed this week.
