PARIS – More than 60 businesses will converge on Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School on Saturday to take part in the Oxford Hills Business Showcase.

The free event will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a breakfast for exhibitors at 7:30 a.m.

The showcase will be preceded on Friday by the Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours event. That is open to those who present a business card, and will allow attendees to visit other businesses’ booths before the Saturday showcase. The Business After Hours event will also feature roving entertainment from singers and groups such as the Art Moves Dance Co.

Kelsey Jewell, director of the Chamber of Commerce, said the showcase is expected to attract 4,000 visitors.

“There are a number of suggestions and comments from last year that we’ve relied on to improve the showcase this year,” Jewell said.

New are a 50-50 raffle that will benefit the chamber, a single entrance to allow maximum exposure to all businesses, and catered food service. A children’s zone sponsored by the Oxford Hills Children’s House will offer activities from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

“Part of my theory here at the chamber is to breathe new life and energy into events, and I’m hoping I’ve done that,” Jewell said.
