TEMPLE – Firefighters doused a woods fire along Pine Point Road late Tuesday but one camp burned and another was extensively damaged.
Fire crews from several towns were called to the blaze near Route 43 about 8 p.m. when it was reported a large section of woods was on fire. There were no reports of injury.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, the blaze was under control by 10 p.m. and fire crews were mopping up in the area that burned.
There was no immediate indication as to what caused the blaze. Fire investigators were expected to return to the area this morning.
