Selling fruit
OXFORD – The Oxford Seventh-day Adventist Church, 259 Fore St., is again selling fresh citrus fruit. Call 345-3814, 743-6673 or 743-6403 by Friday, Nov. 2, to order holiday variety packs, grapefruit, navels or tangerines. Fruit will be available for pick up between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday, Nov.19. They are asking that no Friday evening or Saturday calls be made.
School fair
OTISFIELD – A craft fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Otisfield Community School. There will be Christmas ornaments and decorations, jewelry, crocheted items, doilies, baked goods, jams and jellies, quilts, mittens, baby blankets, photographs and pottery.
Turkey dinner
PARIS – A turkey dinner with all the fixings and holiday pies for dessert will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Deering Memorial Methodist Church, Main and Church streets. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12. There is parking behind the library and town office.
Knitters to meet
PARIS – The Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the Haskell House, next door to the First Congregational Church, Paris. They are making Christmas wreathes in the vestry. The speaker will be Darlene McGoogle who will teach about Angora yarn.
Support group
NORWAY – Stephens Memorial Hospital will hold a six-week grief support group from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 14, to Dec. 19, in the hospital board room.
Facilitator will be Robin Green, LCSW, social services at Stephens Memorial Hospital, and co-facilitator will be Michaele Cadman, MSW, student from the University of Southern Maine.

Democratic feed
DIXFIELD – Congressman Mike Michaud will join Congressman Tom Allen as guests at the spaghetti supper scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at the American Legion Hall, sponsored by the Oxford County Democrats.
Since the presence of the congressmen is dependent on the congressional schedule, the county Democrats will also welcome a variety of legislative leaders, including House Majority Leader Hannah Pingree.
The social will begin at 5. Cost will be $5 for spaghetti and meatballs, salad, homemade rolls, spice cake and beverage. Tickets will be sold at the door, but to assist in planning, the committee encourages attendees to call 364-4201 to indicate their plans to attend.
