Parent class

FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Children’s Task Force has announced the last class of 2007 for its parent education program, which will begin on Monday, Nov. 5, and run for seven weeks.

The classes will be held at the Trinity Methodist Church, Farmington Falls Road. Child care will be provided and help with transportation is available.

The class is made possible by a grant through the Maine Community Foundation. To register, call the Franklin County Children’s Task Force at 778-6960.

The class is free, with a $15 fee for a book. The next parent education classes are slated to begin in early February.

Tables available

FARMINGTON – The Farmington Emblem Club 460 is sponsoring a craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the West Farmington Elks Lodge.

Tables are available and the price to rent one is $20.

Book sale

WILTON – The Wilton Free Public Library book sale will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, during the Pet Expo at the Nichols Building, Weld Road.

SAD 52 class

TURNER – SAD 52 River Valley Adult and Community Education will present “Introduction to Literature,” beginning Tuesday, Nov. 6, with classes on Tuesday and Thursday for 11 weeks.

The class includes memoir, comedy, journals, essay, historical fiction and satire. It is reading intensive, intending to convey to the student a better understanding of how to read and understand literature.
