LISBON – Of the nine town offices to be filled as part of the Nov. 6 municipal elections, five will be filled by write-in votes as there are no candidates.
Incumbents seeking re-election are:
For Town Council, Fernand Larochelle Jr., who was appointed to an unexpired term earlier this year due to a resignation, is seeking a full three-year term, unopposed.
Also running unopposed for re-election to the council are Gina Mason and Dale Crafts in District 1 and District 2, respectively.
Incumbent School Committee member Traci Jo Austin also is running unopposed. Another committee seat being vacated by Pete Reed, who is not running again, will be filled by write in.
There are no candidates for three seats on the budget advisory board being vacated by Hal Chase, Paul Chizmar and Steve Curtis, all of which will be filled by write in.
Long-time Water Commissioner Bill Bauer took out papers, but did not file them, leaving that position to be filled by write in. His supporters say they plan to mount a write-in campaign on his behalf to return him to office.
