LISBON – Parents, community members, teachers and staff of the Lisbon Community School attended the second PTO meeting of the school year on Oct. 10.

PTO President Amy Austin welcomed everyone and conducted the meeting.

“This is a wonderful way for us to start our new school year, with so many people attending this meeting and showing an interest in our school and our children’s events,” said Austin.

Lisbon High School junior volunteers Roxanne Bineau and Leah Brooks assisted with free babysitting services for children in order for their families to attend the meeting.

The PTO works with the school administrators, teachers, staff and parents to bring the students many educational programs and family fun events.

The members meet monthly and have an extensive agenda full of events and fundraisers for the school. The next meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14.
