Saturday, Oct. 20, was Make a Difference Day throughout the United States, and the Rumford Area Quilters met at the Virginia Chapel and assembled and quilted many quilts, which will be mailed to the Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. The quilts will be distributed to the wounded servicemen and women who served in Iraq. There will be more quilts added in the ongoing project.
