PORTLAND (AP) – Portland police are pursuing several leads in the killing of a Portland woman whose body was dumped in a stream in Bowdoinham.
Deputy Chief William Ridge says detectives are interviewing family and friends to develop a timeline of Jennifer Soto’s activities before she died.
Police believe the 21-year-old Soto was killed in her Portland apartment before her body discovered Saturday in the the West Branch of the Cathance (CAT’-unce) River.
Court records indicate Soto had a volatile relationship with her boyfriend, Joel Olavarria, but police aren’t saying whether he’s a suspect.
