BANGOR – Rex Scott Ellis, 64, of Exeter, passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

He was born Jan. 31, 1943, in Farmington, the son of Cutler and Julia (Brackett Rolfe) Ellis. He was educated in the schools of Phillips and a graduate of Phillips High School, Class of 1961.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and had a very successful career that spanned 40 years as an IT professional multi-platform specialist. His family greatly enjoyed his fabulous culinary talents. He enjoyed photography and spending time outdoors at his brother, Fred’s camp in Bradford. He will be forever missed by all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Lauralee Ellis; his son, Damon Ellis and his wife, Lori, of Merrimack, N.H., daughter, Kecia Monis, and her husband, James, of Nashua, N.H.; daughter, Delina Miller of Levittown, Pa., daughter, Jeri Cloutier, and husband SFC Ronald Cloutier, currently serving overseas in Germany; 15 beloved grandchildren, who say he gave the best, big hugs, Trevor, Brie, James, Kayleigh, Mandi, Julianne, Sarah, Justin, Garrett, Jimmy, Nora Lynn, Kolby, Kyle, Kody and Kevyn; father and mother-in-law, Junior and Trudy Brackett, Lauralee’s parents, and her sister, Michelle, have lived with Rex and Laurie for the past year; brother and sister-in-law, Mark Brackett and Meridell Elliott were like son and sister to Rex; brothers and sisters, Jerry Ellis and his wife, Ronnie, of Bangor, Nancy Morgan and her husband, David, of Phillips, Anita Dunham and her husband, Jeffrey, of Wilton, Fred Rolfe and his wife, Noralynn, of Otisfield, Elizabeth (Snip) Rolfe of Phillips; and seven nieces and nephews and their spouses and children.

He was predeceased by a brother, Lynn (Butch) Ellis.
