Billboard displays do not convey commitment to do what is right for the community. People need to elect candidates who will listen to, rather than dictate to, their constituents.
The time has come for individual thinking, rather than forming new alliances or new inner circles.
Environmentalism and recycling should be encouraged, rather than purchased through a banking or reward system. Rather than pride in community, we may instill mistrust or greed.
No longer can residents sit back and complain about what is taking place in the community without getting involved. That became very clear when dealing with the Casella dump issue. Joseph Roy was very vocal on that issue and, since we believe it is not dead, continued support is also needed for Mayor Larry Gilbert, and Councilors Ron Jean and Stavros Mendros. Tina Bailey would also make a great councilor, especially with her involvement in downtown’s Visible Community.
