AUBURN – A surprise party was held recently for A. Harry and Maureen Myrick of Auburn, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. Party hosts were daughter and son-in-law of the couple, Cathi and Mike Morin and the party was held at the Myrick home in Auburn.
On display was two enlarged wedding photos. A cake, decorated with yellow roses, was served. Several piano selections were played by Jean Paul Cote.
Mr. Myrick and the former Maureen C. Michael were married May 4, 1957, at St. Patrick’s Church in Lewiston.
The event was hosted by their three children and their spouses, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Morin and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Myrick and family and Mr. and Mrs. John Martins and son. They have five grandchildren, Jake Roberts, Elizabeth Morin, Katie and Matt Myrick and Nick Fess.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Myrick was employed at New England Telephone for almost 20 years, James Lidstone, M.D. P.A. and the Poland Health Clinic.
Mr. Myrick retired from the Teamsters Union #340, having driven for Sanborn’s Express and A.P.A. Transport with 34 years of service.
Original wedding attendant present was Thomas Freeman Sr., best man and his wife, Elaine.
