LISBON – Town officials are looking for volunteers to join the Route 196 Steering Committee, which will meet with a transportation planner conducting an access management study for the town.
The meeting times have not yet been determined and will be based on what works for the group as a whole, according to Jennifer Stowell Norris, the town’s economic and community development director.
“It is our hope to come up with a realistic plan for the future of Route 196 based on the vast knowledge and experience of our townspeople,” Norris said. “We are looking for people to give us their honest opinion in regards to the past, present and future of this very important route.”
Anyone interested in serving on the committee should phone the town office at 353-3000, extension 102.
