CHESTERVILLE – The North Chesterville Extension Homemakers were given a presentation about Ireland at the Oct. 9 meeting.

Bethany Starrett of Farmington has returned from Ireland after studying at the University of Limerick and shared her adventures. She started by sharing Irish breakfast tea and raisin scones baked from an Irish recipe. She gave a slide presentation and played Irish music.

Starrett traveled to many parts of Ireland and shared her stories and treasures. She displayed wools, sweaters, blankets, jewelry, shells, glasses, shoes, books, hat and green and white boas.

She then put on her dancing shoes and did an Irish dance to the music of the Franklin County Fiddlers.

The next meeting of the Homemakers will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Chesterville Town Office, Dutch Gap Road. The agenda will include program planning and election of officers. All meetings are free and open to the public.
