FARMINGTON – The annual Halloween window-painting contest was held Oct. 26, sponsored by the Farmington Business and Professional Association and the Farmington Rotary Club. The annual event is open to students from preschool to sixth grade in Farmington schools and Cape Cod Hill School in New Sharon.

Contestants are grouped into five categories: preschool, kindergarten, grades one and two, grades three and four and grades five and six.

Prizes are awarded to each group by the Farmington Rotary Club in the following denominations: first, $10; second, $8; third, $6; fourth, $4; and fifth, $2.

The painting is judged on originality, technique, neatness of painting and area and the Halloween or autumn theme. Judging this year’s contest were members of the Interact Club from Mt. Blue High School.
