BUCKFIELD – In addition to voting on the five Referendum questions, voters had to choose a replacement for Selectman Philip McAlister who recently resigned.

Two men were running for the position, former selectman Chris Hayward and Floyd Richardson. The vote was 252 for Hayward and 117 for Richardson.

The other election results were as follows: Question One: Citizen initiative yes 220, no 177; Question Two: Bond Issue yes 156, no 238; Question Three Bond Issue yes 144, no 251; Question Four Bond Issue yes 210, no 187; Question Five Referendum 129, no 268.
