Norway couple gives handiwork for fair
NORWAY – Barbara and Richard “Dick” Varney of Norway use their spare time making items of beauty for their home as well as for gifts for others.
Barbara’s colorful designs in quilting and Dick’s framed paper sculptures decorate their home. Dick attaches hundreds of bit of paper he handcuts into layers of 3-D sculptures that become matted and framed pictures of leaping animals or seashore scenes.
Both have donated work to be sold or for raffles at the holiday fair on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the South Paris Universalist Church, Pine Street.
