LEWISTON – “Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease” will be the topic of a Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute presentation set for Monday and Thursday, Nov. 12 and 15.
Registered nurse Monique Hebert, a certified diabetes educator at Central Maine Medical Center, will discuss the connection between diabetes, heart attack, stroke and other cardiovascular afflictions.
The presentations will be held in the first-floor Young Wing conference room at 1 p.m. on Nov. 12 and again at 6 p.m. on Nov. 15. Light refreshments will be served. Anyone with questions should call 795-8240 or e-mail [email protected].
Hebert has worked in the diabetes education field at CMMC for 12 years. Prior to working in diabetes education, she served for 13 years as a nurse on the Cardiopulmonary Telemetry Stepdown Unit at CMMC.
She is a graduate of the CMMC School of Nursing and a student in the RN to MSN program at St. Joseph’s College in Standish.
