JAY – Operation Stockings for Soldiers in Afghanistan project is being carried out by family and friends of Robyn Smith, D-Co 1/508 82nd Airborne Div. He and his company were deployed on Jan. 23, and Afghanistan will be their home until sometime next spring.

Smith, a Maine native, graduated from Jay High School.

The group’s mission is to collect items and fill Christmas stockings for each soldier in the company.

They are hoping to collect items by the third week in November.

Monetary donations will also be accepted to purchase stockings, pay for shipping and buy items not donated.
