High Street fair

High Street Congregational Church of Auburn will hold its annual Christmas fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17. The usual tables will include white elephant, baked goods and candies, jewelry, knits and homemade items as well as a chili or corn chowder bread bowl luncheon. Apple a day

Grace Lutheran Church, 757 Summer St., Auburn, is hosting a Christmas fair from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17. There will be crafts, frozen apple pies, baked goods, jams and jellies and wreaths as well as lunch and breakfast. There will also be “Granny’s Attic,” a silent auction and fair trade gifts. Bernard Clement and Ron Friel peel apples for pies to be sold at the fair.

Danville fair

The Danville Union Church Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, in the Danville Grange Hall, Auburn. All kinds of craft items, secondhand items and food will be available. Christmas fair at St. Philip’s Church

‘Christmas by the Lake’ fair at Auburn church

AUBURN – The annual fair, “Christmas by the Lake,” will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Route 4. It offers homemade candies, baked goods, balsam wreaths and baskets, woodcrafts, jewelry, a children’s activity room, Christmas decorations, knits, quilted items and “hidden treasures.”

A lunch counter, staffed by the ACC youth ministry, will offer pizza and sandwiches for sale. There will also be baked beans at the fair, packaged for take-away or served for eating on site.

Raffle tickets will also be available for several hand-crafted items as well as for a $1,000 cash prize. In addition, there will be 30 smaller prizes, including restaurant certificates and dinner/theater vouchers.

Sunday between 9 a.m. and noon left-over items will be available. The church is wheelchair-accessible.

Yule fairgoers can ‘Shop on Park Avenue’

AUBURN – The United Methodist Church of Auburn will host its annual holiday fair, “Shop on Park Avenue,” from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17. It will feature gift baskets, holiday crafts, quilts, jewelry, baked goods and candy as well as the country store, white elephant room and book sale.

The youth mission team will serve a luncheon to help support their trip to Denver next summer. For more information, contact the church at 782-3972.

‘Winter Wonderland’ at Lisbon Falls church

LISBON FALLS – The annual Winter Wonderland Christmas Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the United Methodist Church, School Street.

A beef stew lunch will be served at 11 a.m., including bread, beverage and gingerbread with whipped cream. The cost is $5 for adults and $2 for children.

There will be the usual tables: baked goods, crafts, theme baskets, a “greens” table, nearly new table, cookie walk and “trash and treasures” table.

Gingerbread fair

AUBURN – The First Universalist Church will hold its annual Gingerbread Fair from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at 169 Pleasant St. The church is handicap accessible from the Spring Street parking lot.

Fresh evergreen wreaths, crafts, gift baskets, homebaked pies and baked goods, fudge and candies, jewelry, cookie and gingerbread houses kits, books, silent auction and white elephant treasures will be available.

Luncheon with homemade soups and gingerbread for dessert will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with Phil House at the piano. For more information, contact the church office at 783-0461.

Vet center fair

LEWISTON – Lewiston Vet Center will host its second annual arts and crafts show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 16 and 17, at the center, 29 Westminster St. Admission is free, and it is open to the public.

Displays will include oil and watercolor paintings, drawings, sculpture, metal work, woodworking, short stories and poetry. For more information, call Bill Malay at 783-0068.

Church fair

LISBON FALLS – Holy Trinity Parish will hold its third annual Christmas craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17. Area crafters will be on hand and parishioners will provide craft items, a bake and Slovak food sale, raffles and a 50/50 raffle. Lunch will be served. Holiday fair

LITCHFIELD – St. Leo’s Church, Route 126, will have its annual Christmas fair from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17.

PTA sets fair

POLAND – The Poland PTA will hold its 25th annual craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Poland Community School, Route 26. There will be handmade crafts from skilled artisans, food and a large selection of raffle items.

Annual fair

WALES – The Wales Presbyterian Women will sponsor their annual church fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Wales Youth Center, Route 132. Craft fair

AUGUSTA – The Gardiner/Augusta Lions Club will hold its ninth annual craft and Christmas fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Augusta Armory.

Proceeds will be used to support community service projects. Refreshments will feature lobster rolls, breakfast sandwiches and hot dogs. A bake table will be hosted by the club as well as a raffle and silent auction.
