Rebekahs to meet
AUBURN – Liberty Rebekah Lodge 94 will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, at the Grand Lodge office meeting room at 80 Caron Lane when refreshments will be provided by Nancy and Ricky Waisanen.
As part of the lodge community outreach, members are asked to bring in food for the needy and coats for kids of all ages. Coats collected by all the Rebekah and Odd Fellow lodges in the state will be presented to the WCSH6 staff by Grand Master David Grass and Assembly President Helen Boisvert on Saturday, Dec. 1.
During the meeting that will begin at 7 p.m., the annual roll call of members will take place under the direction of Cynthia Maxwell, financial secretary. Members will respond with a poem, song, story or joke, if possible. Those not able to be present are encouraged to respond by mail or e-mail. Vice Grand Ricky Waisanen will lead those present in repeating the Rebekah Obligation.
Meeting notice
AUBURN – Lewiston Assembly’s Masters of the Grand Cross will have the annual meeting at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Masonic Hall, Turner Street. The masters will share a potluck supper after the meeting. All Masters of the Grand Cross of Color are invited.
Christmas meal
MONMOUTH – The Golden Years Club will have its annual Christmas dinner on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Rise and Shine Bed and Breakfast, Route 135, East Monmouth. Those who have not already made reservations are asked to call 933-2648, Annis Crocker, by Tuesday, Nov. 27.
The cost for nonmembers will be $15 each. Everyone is asked to meet at the United Church parking lot by 11:30 a.m. for car-pooling.
