Carolyn Greeley, along with members of the VFW Post 3335 and Auxiliary, hung a “Welcome Home Jared” banner on the side of the post home in Jay on Nov. 8 to welcome home Carolyn’s son, Sgt. Jared Greeley. Greeley, a life member of the post, has recently returned from Iraq and will be home for Thanksgiving. Greeley plans to hike the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine in memory of “Fallen Troops in the War on Terrorism” when he finishes his stint in the military.
