RUMFORD – The annual Christmas in the Valley Craft Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Mountain Valley High School when 56 crafters will be on hand.
The cookie walk will be back and a Chinese auction will be held, with proceeds going to the scholarship funds for Mountain Valley and Dirigo high schools from Christmas in the Valley. The kids’ corner will offer projects, games and crafts. A small donation is requested by the youth organization running it.
The kitchen will be stocked and run by the Rumford/River Valley Relay For Life Committee with all the proceeds going to Relay For Life. Breakfast will consist of doughnuts, coffee cake, coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Lunch will include a turkey pie plate with all the fixings, chili, hot dogs or chili dogs, and homemade apple crisp or chocolate cake.
Frosty and Mrs. Frosty will arrive at 11 a.m. at the kids’ corner and visit until 1 p.m. Children will be able to talk with Frosty and the Mrs. and have their pictures taken with them for a nominal fee. Frosty is also asking that each child bring a nonperishable item for the local food pantries.
