What is student council at Bruce M. Whittier Middle School? Student Council is a place where seventh and eighth grade students in our middle school can come together and contribute thoughts and ideas about our school, activities and community.

Once a week the students in our Student Council have a meeting. There are a lot of great original thoughts and ideas contributed through these meetings. Student Council is a great thing to be a part of due to the opportunity for socializing with different students, and meeting new people such as the town manager, Mr. Dana Lee, and Mr. Dennis Duquette, our superintendent (who has been doing a fantastic job this year), and our middle school dean Mr. Vincent. We also work on running fundraisers, activities, dances, and other fun things to be a part of.

Recently, Student Council has been running a food drive for the people that are in great need of food for themselves and for their families, and it will definitely be nice for the holidays. Even you can help by donating food at the food bank in Poland! Student Council is an important activity for our school, and we’re working hard to make a difference!
