PORTLAND (AP) – A Maine fishing boat’s trip was cut short after the Coast Guard discovered it wasn’t up to standard on safety regulations.

The Coast Guard said it boarded Four Brats, a 34-foot dragger out of Edmunds, about 13 miles off Eastport Tuesday afternoon and found it had exposed electrical wiring and holes in the walls of its forward compartment.

The Coast Guard escorted the vessel back to port and instructed the crew to stay ashore until the problems were corrected.
