PARIS – The Norway/Paris Lions Club held a Chinese auction on Nov. 3 at the South Paris Legion Hall, which they said was a huge success.

The proceeds will be put back into the community, providing eyeglasses or hearing aids to those in need due to financial difficulties.

In the past, the Lions Club has donated funds to local charities such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters, March of Dimes, Oxford County Nite Life, Santa Visits Oxford, as well as providing page magnifiers with magazines to area shut-ins.

Anyone interested in becoming a Lion should contact Carol Williams at 743-7747 for more information. The club meets the first and third Monday at 6 p.m. in the basement of the Deering Memorial Methodist Church, Paris.
