PAWTUCKET, R.I. (AP) – Three 15-year-old girls and one 14-year-old girl have been arrested in connection with an attack on another girl near Jenks Junior High School in Pawtucket.

Police say one of the suspects may have used brass knuckles in the attack.

The incident occurred last Friday. Police patrolling the area were alerted to the attack by a witness.

The witness identified the suspects and said she saw one of them put on brass knuckles before she punched the victim in the head, causing a cut above her right eye. The victim was taken to the hospital.

The suspects were apprehended a short time later. They face various charges, including felony assault. The suspects and the victim are all students at Tolman High School.
