GARDINER – Richard Plourde and Jo-Ann Anastasio of Chelsea and Largo, Fla., were married Sept. 15 at Christ Episcopal Church in Gardiner.

The bride is the daughter of Elaine Anastasio and the late Joseph Anastasio of Rumford. The bridegroom is the son of the late Willie and Marie Rose Plourde of Eagle Lake.

The brother of the bride, David Anastasio, walked her down the aisle. Jane Boynton was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Judy Mitchell, Barbara Lamson and Kaitlyn Anastasio. Renee Barron and Allison Barron were junior bridesmaids.

David Plourde was best man. Ushers were William Plourde, Gregory Plourde, Benjamin Anastasio, Samuel Boynton and Steven Barron. The ring bearer was Wyatt Boynton.

A reception was held at the Elks Lodge in Augusta. The couple traveled along the coast of Maine for their wedding trip.

Mrs. Plourde is retired after 34 years with the state of Maine. Mr. Plourde is retired from his plumbing business.
