STANDISH (AP) – An outbreak of vandalism at a playhouse in Standish won’t keep its production of “Little Women” from opening as scheduled on Friday.
Volunteers have been spending much of the weekend cleaning up the Schoolhouse Arts Center after vandals shattered windows, destroyed lights, burned various items and threw paint on the musical’s set.
The vandalism was reported to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, which is continuing its investigation.
The incident marked time in six weeks that vandals targeted the nonprofit arts center.
