Village Christmas
CASCO – The Casco Village Church United Church of Christ, Route 121, will host “Christmas in the Village” from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. There will be decorated wreaths and swags, poinsettias and a limited number of Christmas trees. Craft and gift tables, baked goods and “Grandma’s Attic” table will also be featured.
A lobster roll, corn chowder and hot dog luncheon will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Fine arts show
FREEPORT – The Maine Nurse Practitioner Association will present the second annual Holiday “Ooh-La-La” Fine Arts and Craft Show featuring more than 24 Maine juried artists and crafters, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2. The show is a part of Freeport’s Sparkle Weekend and will be held at the Harraseeket Inn 162 Main St.
The show will feature granite home and garden items, Asian brush paintings, porcelain jewelry, leather goods, photography, watercolors, woolen blankets, wooden products, Belgian chocolates, soaps and botanical products.

Grandma’s kitchen
GREENE – “Grandma’s Kitchen” is the theme for the fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Universalist Church of Greene, Route 202.
There will be crafts, knitted items, gift baskets, wreaths, homebaked goods, fudge, a white elephant table and a raffle table. Sunday school children will be selling hot cider, hot chocolate, baked items and crafts to raise money for the Heifer Project.
Fair, display
KENTS HILL – A New England Community Christmas Fair will be sponsored by Readfield (Torsey) United Methodist Church. The Saturday, December 1, event will include handmade crafts and baked goods, a cookie walk, recycled treasures and a supervised children’s area.
Wreaths, swags and kissing balls will be custom decorated while people shop from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A silent auction of specialty baskets will be held.
The fair will feature a display, “Fifty Years of Lionel Trains.” Lunch will include fish chowder and corn chowder, chicken salad croissants, pie and a children’s menu.
Craft sale
LEWISTON – A craft sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Montello Manor/Commons, 540 College St. The sale will include Christmas crafts, baked goods and white elephant items. It will benefit the resident activity fund.
Club fair
LITCHFIELD – A craft fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Litchfield Sportsman’s Club, Hallowell Road. There will be handmade crafts, paintings, jewelry, Native American crafts and baked goods. Coffee, doughnuts and muffins will be available in morning and a lunch menu at noon.
Fair, auction
MECHANIC FALLS – The American Legion 150 Auxiliary will hold a craft fair and Chinese auction from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. There will be raffles, food sale, white elephant tables and cutlery.
Shaker fair
NEW GLOUCESTER – The annual Shaker Christmas Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village, Route 26.
A highlight of the fair will be Shaker homebaked holiday goodies such as fruitcakes, herb biscuits, breads, cookies, pickles, jellies and relishes.
The White Elephant Room is another highlight, where money is raised to benefit families in need. Other gifts will include handcrafts for people of all ages.
Grange event
NEW GLOUCESTER – Sabbathday Lake Grange will hold its annual Christmas Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.
Holiday fair
RAYMOND – A Christmas fair will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Raymond Village Community Church, UCC, Main Street.
There will be handmade crafts, homemade baked goods, a children’s shopping room, cookie walk, jewelry, maple syrup, attic room and raffle for an afghan. Breakfast and lunch will be served.
Our Lady fair
SABATTUS – A holiday craft fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, at Our Lady of the Rosary, Maxwell-Gill Hall, High Street. There will be crafters, raffles, bake table and plant table. The kitchen will serve lobster rolls and soups on Friday and baked beans and hot dogs on Saturday. For more information, call 375-6951.
Ye olde fair
WINTHROP – The Winthrop Congregational Church UCC will hold “Ye Olde Christmas Fair” from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.
It will feature homebaked foods, Christmas cookies, candy, jellies, crafts, gifts, ornaments, collectibles and jewelry.
There will be raffle items, including “Christmas Fun for Children,” “Cozy and Warm by the Fire” and “Down Home Christmas in Maine” baskets as well as wreaths, winter evergreen sprays and boxwood.
Silent auction items will include certificates and donations from local businesses, and there will be items made by the Mayan women of Guatemala. A noon luncheon will feature lobster rolls, garden vegetable soup, hot turkey sandwiches, hamburgers and hot dogs.
All proceeds will benefit the church. The building is handicapped accessible.
