Dear Sun Spots: I miss Dayle Hinman from Body of Evidence on Court TV. Court TV is becoming a different program in 2008. I’d appreciate any information about Dayle and future programs.

Thank you. – Joanna Walsh-Ward, No Town.

Answer: According to www.courttv.com, Dayle Hinman was one of the first people to be trained in forensic profiling under the FBI’s legendary John Douglas. Based in Tallahassee at Florida’s Department of Law Enforcement, Special Agent Hinman, now retired, is one of a handful of women in the profession. Over the past 26 years, she’s been involved in numerous high-profile investigations including the cases of Ted Bundy; O.J. Simpson; the first female serial killer, Aileen Wournos; The Tamiami Strangler; Miami’s prostitute killer Rory Conde, and the Gainesville Student murders.

In addition, the site notes that Court TV is to be renamed truTV Jan. 1. The upcoming revamp of Court TV into truTV will feature a new tagline and a growing list of original series that are designed to target an audience of viewers who want first-person access to exciting, real-life stories.

“Not Reality. Actuality.” will serve as truTV’s tagline when the network’s new name debuts and programming will be with real situations, real stakes and real people. The channel also will continue to air trial coverage every weekday.

The launch will be followed by a continuous evolution in programming as the network adds two additional series:

Sky Racers which will put viewers inside the cockpit with Desiree Horton, a rare female news pilot and one of the best in the business.

One False Move which will follow people whose jobs and adventures take them to the brink of disaster.

These series join a previously announced slate in production or development including: The Real Hustle premiering Thursday, Jan. 22, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT). It will, show how an elite team of experts can steal a person’s money, possessions and even identity.

Dear Sun Spots: This is in response to Brenda in Lisbon Falls: You can go online to Kmart.com and view the weekly flier. – Mary in Rumford.

Dear Sun Spots: Families in need of household items should go check out St. Martin de Porres on the corner of Bartlett and College streets. They now sell stuff cheaply. Dishes, silverware, tea kettles and more. It’s worth checking out. I bought silverware much, much cheaper than in a store and a metal cabinet for my canned goods. Happy hunting! – Gabrielle De Moras, Lewiston.

Dear Sun Spots: I have a 15-year-old daughter that has her heart set on a women’s, medium size, Columbia jacket with a zipper lining. After looking in stores and online, I have come to realize her wish is not in my budget. However, I would be willing to pay for a good, used one, maybe one that was last year’s need-to-have item, or possibly an outgrown one. If anyone can please help me, call 754-2886. Thank you. – Shirley in Mechanic Falls.
