Holiday parade
JAY – A Spirit of the Season Light parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, with line-up at Memco at 4:45 p.m.
The parade will kick off at 5:15 p.m. and end up in downtown Livermore Falls, where the children will visit with Santa and have hot chocolate and cookies at the Androscoggin Bank.
Anyone wishing to march or enter a float in the parade should be at Memco by 4:45 p.m. For more information, call Barbara Cook at 645-4753.
Christian play
DIXFIELD – The Dixfield Common Baptist Church and the Carthage Union Church will present “A Season for Change,” a Christian play written by Amy Roth, at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at the Dixfield church, Dixfield Common Road.
It is the story of a family who grieves the loss of their Christian grandmother just before Christmas and the events leading to the changes in their beliefs during the holidays. The play is suitable for all ages.
The characters are portrayed by members from the two churches.
Pastor Kenneth Hinkley agreed to be the director.
