LEWISTON – The December Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce breakfast program will feature Laurie Lachance, president of the Maine Development Foundation.

The breakfast is sponsored by Community Credit Union and will be held at the Ramada Inn Conference Center, 490 Pleasant St., at 7:15 a.m. on Dec.13. Call 783-2249 to reserve a spot. There is a nominal fee for attendance.

The Maine Development Foundation drives sustainable, long-term economic growth for Maine by stimulating new ideas, developing leaders and providing common ground for solving problems and advancing issues. It is the oldest and one of the most successful statewide public-private partnerships in the nation.

Lachance joined MDF in the fall of 2004 as president and CEO, and is responsible for overseeing foundation activities. Prior to coming to MDF, she served as Maine’s state economist for 11 years. She holds an undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College and an MBA from Thomas College.

Chamber members in the “spotlight” this month are Southern New Hampshire University, Kelly Services, Za’ Pizza Market, Canteen Services, Team Fletcher, New England Home Mortgage and Hope Haven Gospel Mission. Each “spotlighter” will showcase its business to attendees before and after the breakfast.
