Church fair

AUBURN – The Sixth Street Congregational Church annual Christmas fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8. There will be handcrafted items, candy, bake tables and gifts, including jewelry, books, gram’s treasures, white elephant items, knit goods, a quilt raffle and children’s activities. Lunch specials will include homemade chili and soup, hot dogs and desserts from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Arts, crafts show

HARPSWELL – The fourth annual arts and crafts show will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 8 and 9, at the Merriconeag Grange, Route 123. School fair

LEWISTON – The Pettingill School holiday fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the school. Proceeds will benefit the Pettingill School PTO. There will be crafts, bake sale, games, kids crafts, cake walk and raffles.

Craft fair

MECHANIC FALLS – A craft fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Silver Spur, 272 Lewiston St. Admission is free. For more information, call 345-3211. Proceeds will benefit St. Jude’s Hospital.

Holiday event

TURNER – A holiday open house will be held from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Leavitt Institute Building. There will be a silent auction, art exhibits, indoor yard sale, cookie sale, as well as Turner cookbooks and calendars. The open house is being sponsored by the Turner Public Library, Museum and Historical Society and the Center for the Arts. For more information, call 225-3724.
