PORTLAND -Orv Franchuk, the Major League Hitting Coordinator for the Houston Astros will be conducting a hitting clinic on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 5-6 at the Frozen Ropes Training Center.

The clinic on the 5th is from 1-4 p.m. for players 13 and older. The session on the 6th is from 9-11 a.m. and is for players 9 to 12.

Coach Franchuk was previously with the Red Sox and was their hitting coordinator when they won the World Series in 2004.
