BRUNSWICK – Bowdoin College scored the game’s first eight points, then closed the half with a 7-0 run to open up a comfortable lead en route to an 88-60 men’s basketball victory Thursday over Colby-Sawyer.
The Polar Bears (6-2) led 48-30 at the half and led by as many as 31 points in the second half.
Andrew Hippert led Bowdoin with 22 points and Kyle Jackson added 17 points. Jon Chaloux led Colby-Sawyer (4-3) with 13 points.

Bowdoin 69, Colby-Sawyer 39
BRUNSWICK – Alexa Kaubris picked up her second consecutive double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds to lift Bowdoin to a 69-39 triumph over Colby-Sawyer.
An early 9-0 run and consecutive 3-pointers by Katie Bergeron helped the Polar Bears (4-3) break the game open. Maria Noucas and Bergeron chipped in with 14 and 13 points. Three players scored a team-high eight points for the Chargers (4-3).
