AUBURN – E. Erlon and Jeannette Johnston of Zypherhills, Fla., formerly of Auburn, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 23. A social hour and evening of dancing was held at the club house, with family and friends attending. They are planning an anniversary cruise around the Hawaiian Islands in December.
Mr. Johnston and the former Jeannette Jackson were married Nov. 23, 1957, in Auburn. Both are graduates of Edward Little High School.
The couple lived in the Orlando, Fla., area for 38 years and they have two children, Michael and Debbie Sue Pierson. They also have two grandchildren, Alexis and Austin Fleck.
Mrs. Johnston is a 1956 graduate of Central Maine General Hospital School of Nursing and prior to her retirement was a nurse.
Mr. Johnston is a retired finance manager.
Following retirement, they currently reside at Tropical Care Estates in Zephyrhills, Fla., where they have been the last nine years.
