I don’t know about others, but I find it amazing how retailers can avoid using the word Christmas in their fliers. I guess they don’t want to offend anyone, but they don’t mind offending Christians.

As I look through all the fliers, I can’t find the word “Christmas,” but I did see that one retailer had a number of Happy Hanukkah. Even trees some places have for sale are called wonder trees or something like that, but not Christmas trees.

After all, if it weren’t for the Christians, there wouldn’t be any happy holidays. Dec. 25 is a Christian holiday, and in the tradition of giving on that day, people make a lot of retailers happy. Maybe they should remember that.

Happy holiday? How about Merry Christmas.
