LEWISTON – The city is looking for volunteers to fill several vacancies on advisory boards and committees.
There are openings on the Appeals Board, Assessment Review Board, Cable TV Advisory Committee, the Citizen’s Commission on Joint Services, the council’s Committee on Housing, the Community Forest Board, Finance Committee, Historic Preservation Board, the Library Board of Trustees, the 911 Committee and the Planning Board.
Lewiston residents interested in serving should contact the City Clerk’s department at 513-3124.
Mayor Larry Gilbert will make the appointments after the City Council inauguration on Jan. 7.
Terms for all of the city boards and committees begin in January, but the terms themselves are different. Terms for Appeals Board and the Planning Board are five years,

Terms for the Committee on Housing, the 911 Committee and the Cable TV Advisory Committee are two years.
